How To Clean Glass Stovetop – Clean Glass Cooktop

You finished cooking and ate your dinner. Now you’re looking at the mess that you have made on your glass stovetop. But don’t worry, even burnt messes on the stove can be easily scrubbed off.

Step #1 is to make sure your glass stove isn’t on or hot. If the cooktop is cool, wipe it down with a soapy microfiber cloth. This way, you’ll wipe off all the food and sticky residue that’s on your glass cooktop. Make sure you wipe your cool stovetop after every time you cook. This way, you won’t have the food/stains set and burn the next time you turn on the stove.

Step #2 is to spray the cooktop with vinegar/water( 1 part vinegar/1 part water), making sure to cover the stains and spots on the cooktop. This will make the kitchen smell like vinegar but don’t worry the vinegar smell won’t last forever.

Step #3 is to sprinkle the cooktop with baking soda. Make sure to cover all the burnt stains. Baking soda will scrub away the stains and grease without scratching the glass surface.

Step #4 is to wait for 10 – 15 minutes.
In the meantime, I love to unload and load the dishwasher. Wipe the counter then I’m ready to scrub off the burnt stains on the glass cooktop.

I use a soft wet sponge/cloth to rub the stains away. Usually, I will rub the stains in circular motions and go back and forth for the stubborn stains. You can always add in fresh baking soda to give you a little more power to scrub away the extra tough stains.

Step #5 is to clean up the baking soda with a soft cloth or sponge. You might need to rinse the cloth and repeat the cleanup process.

Step #6 is to spray vinegar/water solution one more time on your glass stovetop and polish with a dry glass microfiber cloth.

Those were the steps on how to clean glass stovetop.
